The RM1 H is a new generation 12V 64Ah Ni-MH battery designed for the British Army. Fitted heaters, total water resistance, chemical-resistant casing, and P68-rated connectors make it one of the most advanced field batteries in the world.
The RM1 H is a new generation of Nickel Metal Hydride 12 volt 64Ah battery designed specifically for the British Army. With fitted heaters allowing operation in extreme temperatures as low as −30°C — equally comfortable at 70°C — this unit is one of the most advanced field batteries in the world today. Totally water resistant, it operates in partially submerged conditions without damage to internal electronics, making it ideal for covert operations in hostile environments. Both the outer and inside of the case have been treated with a special nylon coating resistant to most chemicals, including acid. A four-segment LED display shows the state of charge via a press-to-test button. All plugs and sockets are rated P68 — fully waterproof and dust-proof. Charged flat-to-full in under 6 hours using the purpose-designed RMBC 64 charging unit. Minimum 600 recharge cycles before cell change is required.
Fitted heaters allow full operational capability at temperatures as low as −30°C. Equally capable at 70°C — covering every climate zone from the Arctic to the Tropics without performance compromise.
Totally water resistant and capable of operating in partially submerged conditions without damage to internal electronics — ideal for covert operations in hostile and wet environments.
Both the outer and inner surfaces are treated with a specialist nylon coating resistant to most chemicals including acids, ensuring protection in contaminated or CBRN-threat environments.
A four-segment LED display provides an instant readout of battery charge state at the press of a button — giving operators accurate readiness information in the field without specialist equipment.
All plugs and sockets are rated to P68 — fully waterproof and dust-proof to the highest standard. Charged from flat to full in under 6 hours using the purpose-designed RMBC 64 charging unit.
More than 600 full recharges before a cell change is required — making the RM1 H an extremely cost-effective long-term investment compared to single-use primary battery alternatives.
Designed specifically to meet British MOD requirements, the RM1 H combines extreme-environment performance with the cost-effectiveness and transport safety of Ni-MH chemistry.
Ni-MH chemistry means the RM1 H ships without dangerous goods classification, significantly reducing logistical burden and simplifying procurement through standard military supply chains.
Tested globally, this product covers every area of operations without performance compromise in any climatic zone.
Integrated heating elements maintain full operational capability at temperatures as low as −30°C. Whether deployed in Norway, the Falklands, or Northern Canada, the RM1 H operates without pre-warming procedures or performance degradation.
Equally capable at the opposite extreme, the RM1 H delivers consistent performance up to 70°C. From the Middle East to West Africa, it operates reliably across the full heat spectrum of operational theatres worldwide.
Total water resistance allows operation when partially submerged without damage to internal electronics. Ideal for river crossings, amphibious operations, beach landings, and sustained operations in monsoon conditions.
The specialist nylon-treated casing resists most chemicals including acid. External surfaces can be fully decontaminated without risk to the battery, making it suitable for CBRN-threat and contaminated environments.
